The Political Geography of the 2008 Presidential Election

Last week Ruy Teixeira and William Frey presented data from their project on the political geography of the 2008 presidential election. Unfortunately, it was on the other coast, and I was not able to attend. But Ruy sent around the url to the presentation that he and Frey gave, “The Political Geography of America’s Purple States: Five Trends That Will Decide the 2008 Election.” It’s an interesting report, worth downloading and reading.

There are also a series of detailed reports that they have done on the battleground states; you can obtain the detailed reports at the Battleground Dynamics Series page.
