Michael Vu was forced out of his job as Cuyahoga County elections chief Tuesday, three years after he was hired as the wunderkind to fix the notoriously broken election system and three months after he seemed to meet the challenge.

The county Board of Elections also forced out Vu’s second-in-command, Gwen Dillingham.
