In person early voting in KS derailed by Voter ID?

A bill that would allow in-person early voting and no-excuse absentee balloting has been derailed in Kansas when it was linked with a controversial voter ID requirement. The original, unamended bill passed 122-0 in the Kansas statehouse, but the voter ID requirement was added in the Senate by a strong proponent of stricter scrutiny at the polls.

The outlook for the bill is now uncertain.
