Well, they’ve gone and done it in Florida. The legislature passed a bill moving the date of Florida’s presidential primary to January 29th, a week before the new February 5th “Super Tuesday.”
Floridians will also switch to optical scanning systems in this election, as Florida officially gives up on electronic touch screen voting.
This means, with Florida’s extensive early voting system, Floridians will begin early voting 15 days before, on January 14th. I cannot find records stating when absentee ballots are sent out in Florida, but Florida does have no-excuse absentee balloting.
