As I predicted on this blog months ago, the presidential campaigns are making heavy use of absentee balloting information in California, including identifying regular absentee voters, getting information to them early, and encouraging them to vote once the ballots arrive.

Both the Guiliani and Clinton campaigns admit they are going this in order to shield themselves if the results NH and IA go against them.
