Colorado rejects paper

In a surprising reversal, the Colorado legislature killed a bill that would have mandated a move to an all paper ballot election.

Instead, the legislature argued that they had passed new rules that would allow for an expedited certification procedure for the electronic machines.

Bad news for fans of paper ballots. Good news for those studying voting centers, since without DREs, I’m not sure the vote center concept is feasible!
