Long lines for early voting … in LA County?

I was again on the Patt Morrison show yesterday, on KPCC in Southern California. We had a number of interesting calls, and for much of the show Dean Logan was on with me answering lots of voter questions and concerns. Dean, and one of the callers, said that there was a 40-50 minute line for early voting down at the LA County Registrar-Recorder Office in Norwalk. That’s a pretty good wait for early voting in LA County.

This is just another piece of data showing that there is enormous interest and excitement about this election; it really does look as if we are going to see strong turnout on Election day, if these early and absentee voting trends hold. If you are planning on voting on Election day, the best advice is to vote off-peak (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), if you can.
