Minnesota recount scorecard, Day 3

My daily Minnesota recount scorecard is posted here.

Much of the comment today is about the rise in challenged ballots, which certainly is true.  Still, the main story is how few challenges there are overall.  Through the first two days of counting, only 20% of all precincts witnessed a challenge.  Today, 36% of precincts had a challenge. And, when when a precinct sees challenges, there are more of them.  Prior to day, the average number of challenges in a precinct with challenges was 1.7; today the average jumped up to 2.9.  Based on some simple regression analysis, it doesn’t appear that this jump in challenges is due to the differences between these precincts and the precincts counted previously.
