NAS, and now Pew …

Well, back on the road … I’m now in DC for a big event that Pew is hosting tomorrow and Wednesday on election reform. As our blogging team is here in full-force (Paul, Thad, Charles, and I are all here) we will no doubt write more about the event as it progresses.

As to the NAS VR workshop last week in Atlanta, I’d say that my impression after hearing the “war stories” from the election officials about the performance of their VR systems in the 2008 election cycle was that generally speaking they performed well. Of course they had lots of minor performance issues, and also other VR-related problems did crop up during the general election, but the overall conclusion was that the state voter registration database systems worked pretty well in 2008.
