Alaska Senate race write-in ballot counting nearly done

It seems that the Alaska Senate race write-in ballot counting is nearly complete, and that the Murkowski camp is claiming victory in their write-in campaign. This is quite interesting, as it seems that Murkowski may be the first candidate to win a write-in campaign for the U.S. Senate in recent memory (according to the story cited above, the last time this happened was in 1954).

While there is the possibility of a recount looming, and the potential for court challenges, this is an interesting situation to follow. Once the dust has settled, it will be interesting to study the efforts to inform voters about how to cast their write-in ballot correctly.
