As of this morning, the Secretary of State’s website is listing Kamala Harris with a narrow lead, 4,220,378 votes to Steve Cooley’s 4,187,683 (that’s 46.0% to 45.6%). Many ballots are still being counted, and given it’s size, Los Angeles County is now “ground zero” for this race. This is one of the closest statewide races in recent California history, and we are keeping a close eye on this one.

4:25 pm update (11/18): This race now stands are 45.9% (Harris) to 45.6% (Cooley). Harris now has 4,245,849 votes, Cooley has 4,216,450.
