Slate.com has an interesting feature running about the political futures markets, something I know a little about and Mike knows a lot about (but I found this so I get to blog first!)

These markets are very informative because they have relatively high predictive value–better than the polls–so understanding them and the trends they show can be valuable for knowing if an election outcome is anomalous or something that was really predicted (even if not by a poll).
