I finally read in the Chicago Tribune how the Texas primary delegates are allocated:
- 126 of the delegates will be awarded based on the March 4 popular vote,
- 35 are unpledged super delegates, and
- 67 delegates will be distributed according to the results of a series of precinct caucuses.
The delegates the candidates win are awarded is based on voter turnout in state senatorial districts in recent elections.
Since Hillary Clinton’s campaign was a bit confused on this point, I thought I would post this for everyone else’s information.
