Sounds as if LA County voters may not face a confusing dual-ballot in November

It sounds as if the political maneuvering over a potential sales-tax measure for the November ballot may be resolved next week. My local paper ran a story this morning, “Knabe reverses stance on sales tax measure.” Apparently after hearing that Dean Logan believed that the dual-ballot would be confusing for voters, difficult to administer, and could cost nearly $10 million, one of the LA County supervisors said he will change his position next week. This change of heart may clear the way for the sales-tax measure to be on the consolidated ballot in November, though action up in Sacramento will be required as well.
